The ASU School of Music Guitar Series presents William Kanengiser who is widely recognized as one of America’s finest classical guitarists, He won First Prize in the 1987 Concert Artists Guild International Competition as well as major guitar competitions in Toronto (1981) and Paris (1983). As a founding member of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet (LAGQ), Mr. Kanengiser has toured extensively throughout Asia, Europe and North America, and has recorded more than a dozen CDs.  In 2004 LAGQ received a GRAMMY® for Best Classical Crossover Recording..

Mr. Kanengiser will perform  Shingo Fuji’s Concerto de Los Angeles for solo guitar and guitar orchestra. Guitar students from Arizona universities and community colleges perform in the guitar orchestra for this piece.
