FLASH
Tempe’s free local area shuttles (FLASH) serve ASU and Tempe Downtown during the weekdays. FLASH buses are wheelchair accessible and feature bike racks. Flash Forward operates in the clockwise direction while Flash Backward buses go counterclockwise.

Orbit
Orbit (a free service) uses small buses to serve residential areas and to connect them to local destinations such as shopping areas, major bus routes or other neighborhoods. In general, the Orbit routes use “flag stops”, which means that the driver will pick up and drop off passengers in residential areas whenever it is safe to do so. On major streets designated bus stops are used.
Service Hours: Monday thru Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., every 15 minutes
Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., every 15 minutes
Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., every 30 minutes

METRO light rail
METRO light rail is a 20-mile system that connects the cities of Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. There are 28 stations and 8 park and ride facilities along the METRO light rail. Trains stop at stations every 12 minutes during weekday peak-hours and every 15 to 20 minutes on weekends.
Service Hours: Monday thru Friday from 4:40 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (on Fridays 2:00 a.m.)
from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. every 12 minutes, all other times every 20 minutes

Tempe in Motion encourages getting around Tempe with anything but a car. Besides providing bicycle, pedestrian and light rail facilities, a tightly spun net of bus routes is provided to get around Tempe in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way.

The Bicycle Cellar
The Bicycle Cellar is unique bicycle support facility located conveniently in the Tempe Transit Center just steps away from bus and light rail service. The Bicycle Cellar provides indoor secure bike parking with showers, lockers and a full-service bike shop to make your ride as convenient and safe as possible.
This is the perfect way of making maximum use of the 165 miles bike paths in Tempe.

Tempe Transit Center
The Tempe Transit Center is located conveniently at 200 E. Fifth Street (near Forest and College Avenues) at the base of A Mountain. It integrates the city’s main bus station, a light rail stop, The Bicycle Cellar, an information center and the transit store.
