• Insight Bowl Tempe  - Each New Year's Eve day, the Big Ten and Big 12 take the field at ASU Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe.  After the game, Tempe's Mill Avenue District rings in the New Year with one of the largest block parties in the Southwest.
• Major League Baseball Spring Training - Tempe is proud to be the host city for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Spring Training.  Tempe Diablo Stadium is a fan friendly place to watch the Angels take on the other 14 Cactus League teams each Spring.
• P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon & ½ Marathon - More than 30,000 runners take to the streets and run (or walk) the full or 1/2 marathon through Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe.  Bands keep the energy high every mile and the finish line at ASU in Tempe features a headline concert event to celebrate the day's events. 
• Ford Ironman Arizona  - More than 2,000 athletes compete every November by swimming, biking and running the grueling 140+ mile course.  The start, transitions and finish line all take place at Tempe Beach Park. 
• NASCAR - Phoenix International Raceway is considered to be one of the top stops on the NASCAR circuit and features the fasted one mile oval in the world.  Every year NASCAR fans converge under the famous Arizona sun to see their favorite race car drivers compete in the desert.
