Baseball fans are encouraged to use the free trolley to and from every Angels spring training home game

Tempe, Ariz. – This year, it will be even easier for fans to see their favorite team, the Angels, during Cactus League Spring Training. Tempe is introducing the free Angels Baseball Spring Training Trolley, which will transport baseball fans to Tempe Diablo Stadium for each Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim home game. Details are listed at www.tempebaseball.com.

Beginning March 6 and continuing through April 1 on game days, fans will be picked up and dropped off at two locations in Tempe, the Mill Avenue District and Tempe Marketplace. The trolley stops are located on the northwest corner of Mill Avenue and Fifth Street, and on the north side of Tempe Marketplace, in between the Thirsty Lion Pub & Grill and Kabuki. Signage will mark each trolley stop. Fans will be dropped off just south of Tempe Diablo Stadium.

This free trolley service will begin at 11 a.m. at both locations and continue until one half hour past the end of the game. The trolley will pick up fans every 40 minutes at Tempe Marketplace and every 20 minutes along Mill Avenue.

In the Mill Avenue District, fans can park for free at any of three Parkit locations, listed at www.millavenue.com/angels. Parking validation will be provided on the trolley.

Trolley riders will be encouraged to participate in the Good Sport program, sponsored by Hensley Beverage Company/Budweiser. Used at venues across the country, Good Sport helps sports teams and event organizers ensure that events are fun-filled and family-friendly. The program encourages personal responsibility, respect for other fans and respect for the law. There will be a booth inside the main stadium entrance where designated drivers or those using public transportation to and from the game can sign up to receive a free O’Douls or soft drink.

The Angels Baseball Spring Training Trolley is being made possible by support from Hensley Beverage Company, the Downtown Tempe Community, Tempe Marketplace, the Tempe Tourism Office and the City of Tempe. The trolleys are provided by Dunn Transportation.

Fans are also encouraged to utilize the Tempe Transit bus system – route 48 – 48th Street/Rio Salado to get to and from each game. A complete schedule of bus routes in Tempe is available at www.tempe.gov/tim.
