Arts & Culture

Whether you have a passion for arts and culture, are an occasional theater goer, or your artistic preferences are decidedly fancy or funky, you’ll find something to suit your artistic bent in Tempe.

Spring brings beautiful weather and a calendar replete with arts and culture events both indoors and out. Springtime is festival time in Tempe. Attend one or all of these fun  festivals during March in weather fit for shirt sleeves, shorts and sandals: Aloha Festival  Pot of Gold Music Festival; Arizona Dragon Boat Festival; and Tempe Festival of the Arts.

You’ll need to go indoors to see  exciting Broadway musicals. There’s no better place to be inside than in ASU Gammage, the beautiful theater designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Upcoming shows include: DIRTY DANCING in February; Rodgers & Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA and  CHICAGO in March. In April see MOTOWN THE MUSICAL, the story of Berry Gordy and the Motown sound.
