My favorite part of the weekend is brunch for a few reasons. First, it’s the only time it’s socially acceptable to have a late breakfast and a cocktail all before noon. Secondly, Downtown Tempe has so many restaurant options to satisfy all your weekend brunch cravings. From zesty mimosas to syrup-covered red velvet waffles, Tempe’s brunch scene has got you covered. Here are a few of our favorite weekend brunch locations.

Postino Annex
This Tempe gem is housed in a historic red brick building at the intersection of College Ave. and Sixth St. You may be familiar with their lunch and dinner menu, but Postino’s also serves delicious brunch and cocktail items. Sit at the bar or patio while you enjoy their Grilled Focaccia or a B.E.L.T., a clever take on the traditional B.L.T. made of applewood smoked bacon, scrambled eggs, dijonnaise, lettuce and tomato. Brunch is available Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
615 S. College Ave., Tempe, AZ 85281

Culinary Dropout at The Yard
For more of an unconventional brunch, head over to Culinary Dropout for great food and a spunky atmosphere. From their retro decor to their talented chefs and friendly servers, Culinary Dropout on Farmer Ave. and First St., is known for their unorthodox  way of doing things. Spend time in their pub enjoying a side of live music with some of their Bread Pudding French Toast or a Bacon Bloody Mary, or indulge in a playful game of of shuffleboard, ping pong, or corn hole.
149 S. Farmer, Tempe, AZ 85281
(480) 240-1601

The Mission Grille The Mission Grille, located in the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel on the northeast corner of Mill Ave. and Fifth St., is great for a simple and relaxing brunch. You can order off of their menu or indulge in their breakfast buffet. Enjoy classic breakfast dishes like the Three Egg Omelet, or the Eggs Benedict in their beautiful garden courtyard. You don’t have to be a guest to enjoy this great little weekend getaway!
60 E. 5th St., Tempe, AZ 85281

Four Peaks Brewing Company
For those with big appetites, head over to the best craft brewery in America, Four Peaks Brewing Company, located at 8th St. and Dorsey Ln. This popular local hangout serves brunch every Sunday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. You can’t go wrong with options such as the Carnitas Benedict or Chicken & Waffles, which includes a Belgian waffle, buttermilk fried chicken, herb gravy and blueberry balsamic reduction. And if that’s not enough, try their Peaks Mimosa, Peach Bellini or the Caprese Bloody!
1340 E. 8th St. #104, Tempe, AZ 85281
(480) 303-9967

Americana Tempe
Known for burgers, beer and brunch, Americana has an extensive menu that includes a cocktail list like no other. Pick from the Bellini’s Flight where you can choose from four flavors, drink an endless amount with “Almost Bottomless” Amerimosa’s, or try one of the many coffee cocktails. Pair your drink of choice with a Banana Nutella or Pink Champagne Belgian Waffle.
350 S. Mill Ave., Tempe, AZ 85281
(480) 699-2018

El Hefe
El Hefe is more than a taco joint and a hopping nightlife spot, it has a slamming brunch menu too! Every weekend from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., El Hefe serves up drink specials, breakfast tacos, quesadillas, burritos, chilaquiles and more!
