Tempe events include the Amplifed Jazz Experience Vol. 2 at the Tempe Center for the Arts, November 4, 2016. You can count on an evening of smooth jazz, soul and funk music featuring legendary contemporary jazz keyboard artist Jeff Lorber leading an all-star band line-up including Jimmy Haslip (bass), Gary Novak (drums) and Patrick Lamb (saxophone).

The evening will also feature Generation NeXt – a collective showcasing three of the hottest contemporary jazz/R&B artists Nicholas Cole (keyboards), Lebron (saxophone) and Lin Rountree trumpet).

Comedian Shang will be the event host. Shang has established hmself as one of the brightest funny men in the business. His political and explosive humor has been showcased on HBO’s Aspen Comedy Festival Special “Best of the Fest”. Other appearances include “Jamie Foxx-presents “Laffapalooza”and as co-host of “Russell Simmon’s One World Music Beat.”  Shang appeared on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam” and won TWO half-hour comedy specials on BET’s “Comic View Grandstand.”
