If you are ready to live it up like a leprechaun and drink Guinness until you actually believe you’re Irish, then this St. Patrick’s Day, you’re in luck. Tempe has everything from entertainment, to great food and drink specials that get you feeling like you’re St. Patrick himself! Check out these close by locations in order to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Tempe. Just remember to have fun, and be responsible — use a cab or public transportation to get around.

St. Patrick’s Day on Sunday Funday? Yes! One of our favorite breakfast spots will have you feel green with envy if you miss their St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans. Featuring $3 Green Beers, $3 Hulk Smoothies and Green Waffles PLUS – they’re celebrating early on Saturday with live music from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Lucky for us, St. Patrick’s Day 2019 falls on a Sunday, so you’ll have the whole weekend to celebrate your Irish heritage (or pretend to be Irish) at the legendary Casey Moore’s in Tempe. On Friday, March 15, Green Coors Light will be $4 all weekend and friends from Guinness will stop by from 6-8 p.m. to sample their Blonde Lager for $4. On Saturday, Coors Light will be on site from 1-3 p.m. to give away cool swag and from 7-9 p.m., enjoy a visit from Magners Cider. On Friday and Saturday, you’ll have to try the $6 Screwball Peanut Butter Whiskey Bombers made with Guinness and Bailey’s. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Ireland at Rula Bula in Downtown Tempe. This traditional Irish pub is known for perfect pints of Guinness and excellent Irish and American fare, including the Best of Phoenix Fish ‘n Chips and Shepherd’s Pie. They’re kicking off the St. Patty’s Day Celebrations on March 16th at 5:01 p.m. (St. Patrick’s Day 12:01 a.m. across the pond).  Featuring live music, Irish dancers and so much more! Pedal Haus Brewery

If you love beer and bicycles, then Pedal Haus Brewery is the perfect place for you on St. Patrick’s Day. Their 3rd Annual St. Pedal’s Day bicycle ride is happening on Sunday, March 17, 2019, benefiting the Desert Foothills Mountain Bike Association. Registration begins at 11 a.m at Pedal Haus and participants will bike to other stops for food and drink: Boulders on Broadway, The Lodge, Social Hall and The Shop Beer Co. There is no cost to join the bike crawl and at the end of the ride, there will be a raffle for prizes including a bicycle from New Belgium Brewing.  Visit Facebook for more details.

The Thirsty Lion located at Tempe Marketplace is St. Patrick’s Day central for food, drink and fun. Friday, March 15-Sunday, March 17, enjoy Irish food specials, cocktails, flights and live music. And, to top that off, you can help raise money for childhood cancer research through the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and you can also donate directly on your guest check. Funds are being raised from now through March 17. Guests who order an Irish Cocktail or Irish Whiskey Flight will raise $2 for the foundation. Thirsty Lion will serve up traditional Irish favorites with a modern twist, including Irish Shepard’s Pie, Corned Beef Mac and Cheese and Oven Roasted Lamb Shank.

Why limit a celebration to one day when you have the whole weekend? The Four Peaks Annual St. Patrick’s Day tradition continues from March 15-17, 2019. On Friday night, drink specials begin: $4 Stout pints and $7 carbombs all weekend, with additional drink and shot specials. On Saturday, March 16, the 8th Street location opens at 9 a.m. with Irish breakfast speicals and green mimosas until 1 p.m. And, don’t miss the sunset bagpiper that night. On Sunday, the party starts at 7 a.m. with a St. Paddy’s-themed breakfast buffet served until 11 a.m. Enjoy Irish music all day long and a more Irish menu items.
