Details:

Tempe events include the Open Studio Drawing Workshop with Matthew Dickson at the Gallery at Tempe Center for the Arts (TCA), July 21, 2018. The Gallery at TCA offers some supplies, however artists may also bring their own drawing materials (no paints or messy media please). This free open studio drawing session features a costumed model and a contemporary vibe.  It’s a perfect opportunity for teens working on art portfolios and/or artists of all skill levels looking to practice figurative and portrait skills.

Matthew Dickson works may be seen in the Gallery at TCA’s current exhibition, draw: the art of curiosity. The interactive exhibition celebrates a wide variety of creative media, styles and techniques that incorporate drawing. The “draw” experience includes fine art displays by local artists, exploration stations for doodling and art making, live artist demonstrations and multiple workshop opportunities for all ages.
