ASU Night of the Open Door


ASU Night of the Open Door – ASU Tempe Campus – Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.

STEAM into Tempe for a FREE day of exploration, learning and fun for all ages. With more than 300 interactive activities and experiences, ASU Night of the Open Door celebrates that kids today are smart, tech savvy and more involved in their own educational experiences than ever before! And yes, admission to this fun event is free!

Show your kids fun side of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.  Get a behind-the-scenes look into the spaces that house most innovative projects at ASU, including the Biodesign Institute, ASU Super Computer, Mars Space Flight Facility, ASU Marston Exploratory Theater and more. Meet ASU students and faculty and discover more about ASU Athletics, sciences, engineering, humanities and the arts – from street-style dance, drones and robots, medical breakthroughs to poisonous insects and Mayan discoveries. Take language lessons, launch a catapult, test your musical talents in the “Instrument Petting Zoo,” walk in the shoes of a medieval knight or meteorologist using technology to predict the weather and join in the ASU Sustainability Festival.

GET YOUR FREE TICKETS TODAY!  While this is a free event, please make sure to click on ‘Register’ to request tickets for the Night of the Open Door.  Bring the whole family, neighbors and friends to learn more about the ASU Tempe Campus which is home to more than 300 majors and welcomes students from around the globe.

MAP & PARKING.  Getting to the ASU Tempe Campus is a breeze.  During the event, all parking on the ASU Campus will be FREE.  Yes, FREE!  When  you review the activities, check the map to see which ‘Zone’ you will be visiting to make sure you park nearest to that zone.  For those who do not want to drive, you can bike it!  There are plenty of places to park your bikes all across campus.  Another easy option is Valley Metro and METRO Light Rail which offers convenient park & ride locations .  There are two light rail stops at the Tempe campus including Veterans Way & College Avenue (ASU Sun Devil Stadium) and University Drive and Rural Road (ASU Biodesign Institute).  ASU will also offer a shuttle service to help you get from one part of campus to another.

Get out and enjoy the whole day in Downtown Tempe and at ASU.  While there will be a Food Truck Alley at Night of the Open Door, great dining options are just a hop, skip and a jump away in Downtown Tempe.
