The beautiful Arizona State University Tempe Campus is welcoming and easy to navigate. Additionally, the ASU campus is within walking distance of many hotels in Tempe and Mill Avenue in Downtown Tempe. Visitor parking is available off of University Drive, Apache Boulevard, Rural Road and Terrace Mall. Arizona State University has grown from a small teaching college in 1885 into one of the largest universities in the nation. We encourage you to carve some time out of your trip to see what it’s like to be a Sun Devil.

  • Register online  for an Experience ASU program tour, or take a virtual tour. For those wanting to explore on their own, take the self-guided tour map with you when you visit.
  • “Fear the Fork” is the battle cry for Arizona State University sports. Fans can buy ASU fan gear at one of the many shops along Mill Avenue or College Avenue and on campus from the bookstore or other locations.
  • Don’t miss all the action at an ASU athletic event. Check out the schedules for men’s and women’s basketball, ice hockey, swimming and diving and more sports on the ASU Athletics website.
  • Take a self-guided tour of public art on ASU Tempe Campus ranging from murals to the intriguing “Air Apparent” Skyspace by renowned artist James Turrell. Google “ASU Public Art” to find details about the works on campus.
  • Sample the seasonal menu items at Engrained Cafe, a restaurant inside the Memorial Union that focuses on locally sourced, organic ingredients and sustainable living. Or, enjoy New American style cuisine at Pitchforks & Corks, located on the second floor of the College Avenue Commons.
  • Bring out your inner geek at the Gallery of Scientific Exploration, home to a replica of the Mars rover named “Curiosity.” Here, you can view monitors showing video of the Earth taken from space, a fascinating meteorite collection, 3D astronomy shows at the Marston Exploration Theater and more interactive exhibits.
  • Visit the numerous museums and galleries on and near campus that showcase everything from the most talked about international contemporary artists at ASU Art Museum to student and faculty works at the Harry Wood Gallery. See the best of Broadway in the beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright-designed ASU Gammage.
