Your guide to events and festivities taking place May 5 — and all weekend long.
Cinco de Mayo isn’t necessarily observed throughout the world or even that much in Mexico. In Tempe, we honor Mexican heritage and the cultural significance of the Battle of Puebla (aka El Día de la Batalla de Puebla, 1862) by gathering with good company to savor authentic cuisine and indulge in spirited sips.
This year, May 5 falls on a Sunday. So, check out our Cinco de Mayo guide to find out how Tempe businesses are getting festive all weekend long.
