Holiday Tree Lighting and First Snowfall
Nov. 22, 2023
Get in the spirit of the holiday season with the lighting of Tempe’s brand new 50-foot Christmas tree on Wednesday, Nov. 22, from 7-9 p.m. With live snowfall and a visit from Santa Claus himself, this event has something for the entire family.

Adults can Sip & Stroll with drinks from the Dave & Buster’s mobile bar and enjoy samples of cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate from Cinnaholic. Snap a free picture with Santa and enjoy a live preview performance of Scrooge! The Musical from Arizona Theatre Company.

12 Days of Snowfall
Dec. 13 through Christmas Eve
Watch as snow magically falls from the sky, transforming Tempe Marketplace into a winter wonderland – Every night at 7 & 8 p.m. starting December 13th through Christmas Eve, near the District Stage. Make your very own Arizona snowmen and snow angels and enjoy the magic of snow in the desert only at Tempe Marketplace.

Community Performances
Watch live performances this November and December at the District Stage with tributes to your favorite holiday classics. Get ready for appearances from Arizona Theatre Company, The Nutcracker, local gymnastics, Cheer teams and more.

Sip & Stroll
Put a holiday spin on your Sip & Stroll experience this winter. Join Tempe Marketplace every Friday and Saturday from Dec. 1st to 23rd, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., for a festive journey through The District. Enjoy a cocktail from one of seven participating restaurants and stroll the district to experience all the holiday décor, music and snow.
