Waste Management Phoenix Open

The Phoenix Open began in 1932 and has quickly grown as one of the largest crowds on the PGA tour and has gained legendary status as the "The Greatest Show on Grass".  The 16th Hole is one of the most famous and well-known holes on the tour and is a must-see. With stadium seating and crowds exceeding 16,000, it makes the fan experience at this hole more comparable to a Phoenix Suns game than a traditional PGA Tournament.

Hayden’s Ferry Days

Hayden’s Ferry Days is a celebration of the rich culture and history of Tempe in three days of engaging and fun activities.  Activities take place over the course of three days in multiple venues throughout the city. The celebration culminates at Tempe History Museum for featured exhibits, kids activities, demonstrators of artisan makers booths, vendors – including food, live entertainment, model train layouts, Wild West performers, a rideable train and more! 2018 Schedule of Activities: March 2- Founders Dinner 7p.m. –  The 3rd Annual Hayden’s Ferry Day Celebration will kick off with a Founders Dinner thanking sponsors, donors, participating partners, friends and volunteers. The Founder’s Dinner is hosted by Tempe Sister Cities Organization and the Tempe Historical Society, and will be held at the historic Hackett House in Tempe. March 3 – The Festival  10 a.m.-4 p.m. – The Hayden’s Ferry Day Festival will be held at the Tempe History Museum and will highlight the museum, entry plaza, and community exhibits. In addition to surrounding the museum grounds with displays, antique & collectibles sale, booths, demonstrators, and food trucks, we will continue to show-case outstanding local and regional arts, music, and culture. March 4 – Historic Tour Day Hayden’s Ferry Days Sunday’s events open with the Walk Through History Tour showcasing historic buildings in downtown Tempe. The day continues with tours of the Petersen, Hackett, Eisendrath and Elias-Rodriguez historic houses. The day is completed with an afternoon High Tea at the at the historic Eisendrath house.

Innings Festival

Innings Festival is a can’t-miss celebration for music lovers, culinary enthusiasts and passionate baseball fans. Over three days, Cactus League fans, locals and visitors alike will experience 3 stages and over 35 rock, pop and Alt-country artists at Tempe Beach Park. Acts such as Chris Stapleton, Queens of the Stone Age and The Avett Brothers are just a few of the confirmed headliners for this years’ Innings Festival. The festival also features culinary demos with Chef Beau MacMillan and professional baseball players, curated food vendors, and fun family activities. Vera Stark, an African American maid and aspiring actress in 1930s Hollywood, sets out to land a role in a southern epic alongside her white starlet employer. Several years and several films later, Stark disappears, leaving scholars to debate her legacy, mine old interview footage for clues and examine her tangles relationships behind-the-scenes of the film that made her famous. Discover Stark’s tory in this comedy that takes an irreverent look at race in Hollywood.
