Immerse yourself in a captivating celebration of movement and artistry at the Arizona Dance Festival Sept. 19 through 21 at Tempe Center of the Arts.
The Arizona Dance Festival marks its 25th anniversary with a vibrant showcase featuring around 30 dance artists, companies and filmmakers. Presenting an eclectic mix of choreography and performances from Arizona and beyond, the festival offers audiences a glimpse into the dynamic dance scene. It's an ideal platform for dance companies to gain exposure, promote their work and connect with others in the community. Each evening will highlight different artists, including emerging talents and professional companies across all genres and styles of dance.
This year, the festival proudly features special guest dancer Christina Johnson, co-founder of Complexions Contemporary Ballet and former principal dancer with the Dance Theatre of Harlem. She will perform a premiere solo work choreographed by Anandha Ray. Additionally, Desert Dance Theatre will present two pieces by Anandha Ray.
