Event Summary

If you feel like tickling your funny bone, head over to the legendary Tempe Improv Comedy Theatre. Tempe Improv brings some of the hottest talents from around the country and puts them center stage right here in Tempe, Arizona. Comprising of over 3,500 square feet and over 450 seats, there’s never a bad view in the house! A two-drink minimum is required for all ticket holders.

July Performances:

July 11 | Dope City Comedy
Matt Bellak and Tim Hanlon are two nationally touring headliners that have been selling out comedy clubs all over the country as two thirds of the Fresh Drunk Stoned Comedy Tour. They have again teamed up to form the Dope City Comedy Tour. A dual headliner show featuring the country’s Dopest comics.

July 12-13 | Kam Patterson
Quickly gaining recognition for his sharp, high-energy sets and effortless crowd work, Kam Patterson’s natural charisma and unique, upbeat humor most recently landed him a regular slot on the extremely popular KILL TONY show.

July 18 | Joey Brag
After wrapping the final season of Disney Channel’s top-rated show, “LIV AND MADDIE,” Joey Bragg has been busy establishing himself as a comedic leading man in Hollywood. He can be currently seen playing the title role in the American High feature film SID IS DEAD and he recently starred as a series regular opposite Kyra Sedgewick in the ABC multi-cam series “CALL YOUR MOTHER.”

July 19-21 | Matt Friend
An old soul living inside a 25-year-old comedian/actor/impressionist’s body, Matt Friend has appeared on “The Howard Stern Show,” “The Today Show,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” among others from coast to coast. He’s also generated a follow base of a million on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other social channels.

July 25 | Outsourced Comedy Tour
Celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a brand new line up — starring the best Desi Comedians from all over the US — Outsourced Comedy Tour hits the stage for one epic night of comedy celebrating diversity, fun loving jokes and enjoyment of life. This Tempe show stars Kabir Singh from “America’s Got Takent,” Vinayak Pal from his hit Dry Bar Special and DJ Sandu from Vice TV.​​

July 26-27 | Sommore
Sommore reigns as the undisputed “Queen of Comedy.” This trendsetting, highly acclaimed veteran entertainer is widely considered one of America’s top funny women. With a winning combination of class and sass, Sommore offers audiences a hilarious, yet piercing look at today’s issues from a woman’s perspective.

July 28 | Craig Robinson
Beginning as a stand-up comedian in Chicago, Robinson first made his mark in the comedy circuit at the 1998 Montreal “Just For Laughs” Festival. Craig is best known for his portrayal of Daryl Philban in NBC’s “The Office” but has also starred in such movies as “Knocked Up,” “This is the End,” “The Hot Tub Time Machine Series” and “Morris from America.”

Aug. 1 | Shapel Lacey
Shapel Lacey is a Los Angeles-based comedian, born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. He was a competitive cheerleader at the University of Louisville when he discovered his love for stand-up comedy

Aug. 2-3 | Whitney Cummings
Whitney Cummings is a multitalented comedian, actor, writer, producer and director. She is also known for hosting the podcast “Good For You.” Whitney has appeared in TV shows, films and stand-up specials, including her fifth special on Netflix.

Aug. 8-10 | Ryan Hamilton
Ryan’s one-hour Netflix stand-up special, “Happy Face,” has received glowing reviews. His unique perspective, growing up in rural Idaho and becoming a favorite in the New York stand-up comedy scene, has earned him recognition as one of Rolling Stone’s Five Comics to Watch.

Aug. 15-17 | Josh Blue
After winning Last Comic Standing in 2006, Josh Blue has become a well-established headliner at venues worldwide. After placing 3rd on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Josh Blue is touring with his “As NOT Seen on TV Tour.” According to Howie Mandel, “This is the year of Josh Blue!” Get your tickets and “Buckle UP!”

Aug. 29-31 | James Austin Johnson
James Austin Johnson, a comedian from Nashville and a cast member on Saturday Night Live, is known for his versatile celebrity impressions, including a spot-on impression of Trump. As a stand-up comedian, he has performed on the Vice series Flophouse, Riot LA and Just for Laughs.
