Upcoming Performances:

Sep 26 - Oct 11

"The Comeuppance" by Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins, directed by Seth Tucker

From the author of “Gloria” and the current Broadway hit “Purpose” comes a sharply funny and emotionally resonant new play. In “The Comeuppance,” a group of old classmates reunites to pre-game their 20th high school reunion, each one anxious about the night ahead. Witty, theatrical and moving, the play offers a millennial perspective on friendship, identity and the world they’re inheriting.

Dec 5 - Dec 20

"Reykjavík" by Steve Yockey, directed by Ron May

James travels to Reykjavík in search of the Northern Lights — but they’re nowhere to be found. As he ventures into the endless darkness of the Icelandic winter, he becomes entangled with ominous strangers, unsettling birds and the elusive Huldufólk. In “Reykjavík,” playwright Steve Yockey (“Sleeping Giant,” “Mercury,” “Pluto,” “Wolves,” “Octopus”) delivers a suspense-filled, supernatural tale set at the edge of the Earth, where haunting characters and unexpected twists lurk around every corner.

Feb 13 - Feb 28

"How to Defend Yourself" by Liliana Padilla, directed by Elizabeth Broeder

Seven college students come together for a self-defense workshop after a sexual assault rocks their campus. What begins as a practical crash course soon becomes an outlet for rage, confusion, anxiety and desire. With biting humor and unflinching honesty, “How to Defend Yourself” confronts questions of power, agency and the messy, often contradictory ways people seek healing in a world shaped by violence.

May 1 - May 16

"Angels in America: Parts I and II" by Tony Kushner, directed by Ron May

Tony Kushner’s groundbreaking masterpiece is one of the most ambitious works in modern American theatre. “Angels in America” spans politics, religion, sex and identity. Stray Cat Theatre takes on this epic two-part production with longtime ensemble member Louis Farber cast as Roy Cohn.
