Collegiate and Professional Sports

Show your Sun Devil pride at one of the many Arizona State University sports events that call Tempe home. Walk over to Sun Devil Stadium to see the nationally ranked ASU football team play Pac-12 rivals UCLA and Stanford. This year, the Sun Devils welcome the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame to Tempe for a home game on Saturday, November 8th. Next door at Wells Fargo Arena, Coach Herb Sendek leads the ASU men’s basketball team against rival teams. Some of the biggest names in sports called Arizona State University home during their collegiate years, including World Series Champion Dustin Pedroia, Hall of Famer and “Mr. October” Reggie Jackson, three-time Masters champion Phil Mickelson, NBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist James Harden, Super Bowl winning linebacker Terrell Suggs as well as former NFL safety and fallen United States Army veteran, Pat Tillman.
